Guv concerned over the scenario of women in higher education in the country

Ranchi, Aug 4: Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu has expressed concern over the present situation of higher education of the women in the country.

Addressing the first convocation ceremony of the Ranchi college here she said that the pace of the higher education for the women in the country was not as per the expectations however by the launch of ‘beti bachao beti padhao scheme’ special focus is being accorded in this direction.

She said that when a boy gets educated than he becomes self educated but when a girl gets educated than the entire family and the society gets educated. She asked the girls to take every steps with self belief and confidence so that they can also contribute to the nation’s development. She said that  women are not worth pitying only and they should make their identity as strong and patriotic women.
