Ranchi: The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Grassroot Congress Workers’ Conference, to be held in the Auditorium of old Vidhansabha on March 29, has been cancelled.
Congress leaders Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishore Nath Shahdeo and Dr Rajesh Gupta Chhotu gave this information on Monday. Congress leader Alok Kumar Dubey said that on March 29, all the preparations for the workers programme to had been completed but the party leaders have been called to Delhi on behalf of the party high command, due to which this conference cum dialogue programme has been postponed for the time being.
He said that now any decision will be taken only after talks with other leaders including Congress in-charge in Delhi.
Senior state Congress leader Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo said that the central leadership will be made aware of all the four or five points that were to be discussed mainly in the dialogue programme.
The central leadership will be told that the decision taken during the tenure of RPN Singh, who has joined BJP, should be revoked immediately. Apart from this, according to the decision taken in the Chintan Shivir, the suggestion of not giving important role to the leaders from other parties in the organization should be implemented immediately and the participation of the general workers in the organization be ensured.
