Government will distribute DD receivers in 15 Naxalite affected districts of Jharkhand

Ranchi: The government has taken a new initiative to make people aware of the development schemes.

Under this, the government will distribute DD receivers for free in 15 Naxal-affected districts of Jharkhand.

So that the people of these areas can be informed about government schemes through television.

The 15 districts which will be given DD receivers include Ranchi, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Chatra, Dumka, Garhwa, Giridih, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Khunti, Latehar, Lohardaga, Palamu, Seraikela and Chaibasa.

This is an ambitious scheme of the Central Government, which is to be implemented in the state.

Based on the letter from the Centre, the Jharkhand Police Headquarters has sought a report from the DCs of these 15 districts as to how many DD receivers are required in their districts.

The report of how many DD receivers are needed in the 15 Naxal-affected districts of Jharkhand will be sent to the Central Government.

On the basis of which the central government will give DD receivers for distribution in Naxal areas.

It is noteworthy that many schemes are being run by the government for the development of Naxal areas.

Under these schemes, bridges, culverts, roads and dams, school buildings etc. are being constructed for education in rural areas.

At the same time, under skill development, arrangements are also being made for the training of many youths as mason, fitter, computer operator, driver etc. under the supervision of the police.

Not only this, arrangements are being made for training of mechanics, carpenters, driving, fisheries, poultry, nursing, tailoring for self-employment.
