A herd of elephants reached Chano from Madmo forest, damaged the crops

Hazaribagh: On Friday night, a herd of elephants knocked from Belwa Tongari forest of Madmo, located in the eastern area of Vishnugarh block, in Uchhagna of the block.

His whereabouts till Saturday afternoon was Chano Jungle.

Elephants created a ruckus in Uchaghna on Friday night.

In Uchaghna, the house of Falo Mahto was damaged.

While there, the boundary wall of Baijnath Mahato and Horil Mahato was broken.

Elephants trampled the vegetable farm of Manwa Devi.

Vegetables like okra, bitter gourd and bodi were planted in the field. The herd consists of eight to nine elephants.

The herd of elephants has entered the Vishnugarh area through the Parasnath mountain forest in Giridih district.

The villagers have given this information to the personnel of the Forest Department.

The villagers are expressing apprehension that elephants can enter the village at night.

Last time also a herd of elephants had created havoc by entering the village.

While damaging many houses, the crops of the farmers were also trampled.
