Government to ensure right price and better markets for farmers produce: CM

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday said that there are tremendous opportunities in every sector of the state and by developing these the state can go far ahead.

Participating in a programme organised by NABARD he said that all the districts have their own specialities and sectors apart from minerals including agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, tourism, sports and arts and culture provide excellent opportunities for growth. He said that by strengthening the rural economy development can further gain state in Jharkhand. On the occasion he also released the focus paper prepared by NABARD.

He said that the state government will provide markets for the products of the farmere and women groups and said that in form of Palash brand of Jharcraft markets will be provided to them. He said that steps will also be taken by the government so that products made by women self help groups can be sold in malls and shopping malls and even food processing will be encouraged in the state.

The Chief Minister said that during the lockdown the state government ran many schemes whose benefits are being enjoyed by the people and now plans are to roll out more new schemes which will help the state to move further ahead on the path of progress. He said that all the schemes which have been framed by the state government have kept the welfare of farmers, workers and poor in their core.

The Chief Minister suggested the bankers to spend money in the development of the state as they have an important role to play. He said that the banks should walk hand in hand so that the needy can get benefits.

He lauded the works which are being done in the area of NABARD. He said that works are helping for the empowerment of farmers, workers and people involved in animal husbandry. He said that the organisation was helping the needy at the grassroot level and has touched almost all the areas of growth.

Principal Secretary of Finance Department Himani Pandey, Principal Secretary Water Resources Prashant Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
