Government focused to provide jobs in other sectors apart from minning: Hemant Soren

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that apart from mining, the government was also focused to create job opportunities in other sectors.

Addressing after handing employment letter to 22 girls who had been rescued from Tamilnadu at Kishore Exports. He said that there was tremendous scope in the area of textiles. He said that in the coming days a target has been set to provide 8,000 jobs.

The Chief Minister said that the state government would provide all necessary help to the companies who would be providing jobs to the youth of the state. The company also handed over a letter of intent to the state government to provide N-95 masks.

The Chief Minister said that lakhs of people travel to other states to job but when the people returned due to Coronavirus crisis and lockdown than the government got the real picture and after which the government decided to provide them with jobs and steps have been initiated to provide them with jobs and in the next two months more and more people would be given jobs.

The Chief Minister said that amid the Corona crisis the state government was working at its own level to create jobs. He said that apart from three schemes under Mnrega employment scheme for urban workers have been started under which lakh of man-days have been created and in future also it would continue.

He said that Jharkhand was a labour dominated state and more than one lakh workers have experience of working in textile sector therefore there was huge opportunities in the sector and if concrete steps are taken than it can create two lakh jobs and assured all possible help to the companies which would setting up garment units.

The Chief Minister also thanked the company officials for giving letter of intent for providing one lakh N-95 Masks. He said that cooperation of everyone was needed in battle against Coronavirus.

Those present on the occasion included Chief Secretary Sukhdeo Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajeev Arun Ekka and others.
