DGP asks police officials to take strict action against women crime

Ranchi: DGP MV Rao chaired a high-level meeting with the senior police officials of the state during which he asked them to take strict action against women’s crime.

During the video conferencing apart from crime against women, murder, alcohol-related crimes, LWE extremism and other crime were reviewed.

In the meeting, the DGP directed the SSPs and SP to take strict action against incidents of women’s crime. He asked the officials to share their WhatsApp numbers so that they can immediately get any information related to crime against women and girls.

The DGP asked the officials to take action against LWE extremism, attack those who are providing help to the maoists and monitor the activities of the maoists. The DGP asked the officials to categorically take action against criminals in their respective areas and without any discrimination impartial policing should be done.

ADG CID Anil Palta, ADG Special Cell ML Meena, IG Operations Saket Kumar Singh and others were present in the meeting.
