Garib Kalyan Mela to be organized on September 16

Ranchi, Sep 14 : The Jharkhand Government would be organising a Garib Kalyan Mela on September 16 in Harmu of Ranchi during which deeds and assets would be distributed among 44,000 beneficiaries of Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh and Kolhan areas.

Addressing a press conference at the Suchana Bhawan here Finance Secretary Satyendra Singh said that the state government is celebrating 2017-18 as Garib Kalyan Varsh.

He said that in the government on that day would be distributing LPG gas stove among 6500 beneficiaries of the Ujjwala Yojana while 16000 farmers would be provided with soil health card. The government would be distributing fish credit cards among 200 fish farmers and crop insurance benefit worth Rs 30 crore would be distributed among 1000 beneficiaries.

Mr Singh said that 200 women belonging to the BPL families would be provided cows on 90 per cent grant while 1000 banking correspondents would be provided with e-pos machines. 1000 pumpsets would be distributed alongwith grants among 200 people who would be beneficiaries of Ved Vyas Aawas Yojana. Funds would also be distributed among 6000 Mudra Yojana beneficiaries while smart phones would be distributed among 8000 Sakhi Mandals while under Ajivika Mission among 4000 sakhi mandals bank loans would be provided and rural bus service would also be launched.

Those present on the occasion also present Agriculture Secretary Pooja Singhal and Secretary Food and Civil Supplies Vinay Kumar Choubey.
