Ranchi, Sep 10: Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will on Monday lay foundation stones and inaugurates schemes worth a total of Rs 5500 crore in the state as part of the celebrations of completion of 1000 days in power of Chief Minister Raghubar Das.
In a function to be held at the Vidhan Sabha grounds here the Union Minister alsongwith Mr Raghubar Das would be laying the foundation stone and inaugurating the schemes worth Rs 5500 crore. The event which would also be attended by the cabinet ministers of the state government would also witness participation of various MPs and MLAs. During the programme a book highlighting the achievements of the state government during the 1000 days would also be launched.
Official sources said that the various projects are related to road construction, drinking water supply schemes and water conservation projects. A senior official of the Road Construction Department said that 10 NH schemes have been selected for inauguration and foundation laying by the Union Minister out of which one would be dedicated to the people while for the remaining 9 foundation would be laid. The total length of these NH projects is 378.30 kilometers which would involve an investment of Rs 2523 crore.
It is also expected that the Union Minister may also announce several new projects and schemes during his visit to the state. Officials said that the minister would be dedicating to the people Chas-Ramgarh four lane of NH-23. The 78 kilometer stretch has been built with an investment of Rs 333 crore. Few other NH road projects cater to the areas of Santhal Pargana, South Chottanagpur Division and North Chottanagpur division.
