Ranchi: Former Chief Minister Madhu Koda, his associate Manoj Punamiya, Anil Adinath Vastavade, Vinod Sinha and other accused in the money laundering case appeared physically in the special court of ED on Monday.
During the hearing, the court was told on behalf of the other accused that while hearing the petition of Madhu Koda, the High Court has ordered a stay on the trial against her.
Therefore, the cases of other accused should also be postponed for the time being.
After hearing the request of the accused, the court has fixed January 5 for the next hearing of this case.
During Madhu Koda’s tenure as Chief Minister, the ministers and their colleagues in his cabinet have been accused of illegal earning of crores of rupees and money laundering.
This entire episode has been investigated by CBI and ED.
In other cases related to money laundering, the court has sentenced former ministers Enos Ekka, Bandhu Tirkey and Harinarayan Rai.
While many people are still facing trial.
