Assistant Town Planner Appointment Case, Supreme Court upheld the decision of Jharkhand High Court

Ranchi: The Supreme Court has upheld the order of the Jharkhand High Court, in which those candidates whose certificate has been issued by ITPI (Institute of Town Planner of India) after 26/8/2020, were ordered to be excluded from the appointment process.

The High Court had given this order on September 17 this year. Debismita Basu had filed a petition in the Supreme Court. His petition was heard on Monday.

During the hearing, the top court refused to interfere in the High Court order.

This case was heard in the bench of Supreme Court judges Justice Hima Kohli and Justice A Amanula.

In this case, advocate Siddharth Ranjan and advocate Abhas Parimal represented the defendants.

In fact, the double bench of Jharkhand High Court judge Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad and Justice Navneet Kumar had passed this order that those candidates whose certificate has been issued from ITPI (Institute of Town Planner of India) after 26/8/2020.

Exclude them from the JPSC appointment process and the result of those whose certificate is dated 10/8/2020 should be released.
