Former CM filed a case, relief to ED officers from the High Court in the ST-SC Act case

Ranchi : A hearing was held in the Jharkhand High Court on Monday on the ED petition filed by the then Chief Minister Hemant Soren against the case registered against ED officials in the ST-SC police station.

During the hearing, the court gave relief to the ED officials and ordered a ban on any kind of coercive action against them.

The petition of ED officials was heard in the court of High Court Judge Anil Kumar Chaudhary.

Public Prosecutor Amit Kumar Das presented the case on behalf of ED.

In fact, after the raid in Delhi, the then Chief Minister Hemant Soren had lodged an FIR under the SC-ST Act on January 31 against ED officers Kapil Raj, Devbrat Jha, Anupam Kumar, Aman Patel and others at the SC-ST police station in Ranchi.

All of them are officers of ED’s zonal office, Ranchi.
