Five Cyber Criminals arrested by police in Giridih

Giridih: Police have arrested five cyber criminals in Giridih.

A case has been registered against them under Cyber Police Station Case Number 24/2024.

The names of the arrested accused include Sahnawaz Ansari (age 19 years), Deepak Kumar (22 years), Upendra Kumar Mahatha (24 years), Ranjit Chaudhary (25 years), Prakash Kumar Verma (28 years).

Many items including 18 mobile phones, 29 SIM cards, 13 ATM cards have been recovered from them.

Actually, Giridih Superintendent of Police had received secret information through Prakhand portal that some cyber criminals of Gandey police station area were cheating the common people. On the basis of this information, a team was formed under the leadership of Cyber Police Superintendent Giridih.

After that, 5 cyber criminals were arrested while raiding that police station area. During police interrogation he confessed to his crime. He also told how he used to trap people in his trap.

During the interrogation of Giridih Cyber Police, the arrested accused said that they used to call customers in the name of inquiry through (Justdial.com app) using fake SIM. After that they used to cheat on them. Cyber criminals are also informed that this is not the only way to commit fraud.

Apart from this, they used to deceive people by sending them the link to a gaming app (Laser Book 247.com) on WhatsApp. Apart from this, they used to fraudulently keep Aadhar cards, passbooks and other documents of customers and use them to withdraw fraudulent money from Pragya Kendra.
