FIH Women’s Hockey Olympic Qualifier, Germany started with a win, defeated Chile 3-0

Ranchi:  FIH Women’s Hockey Olympic Qualifier started in Ranchi on Saturday. The first match was played between Germany and Chile at Jaipal Singh Munda Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Marang Gomke, Morabadi.

In the first match, Germany started its ticket to the Olympics by defeating Chile 3-0. Germany played aggressively from the beginning of the match and took a 2-0 lead in the first quarter. The first goal of the FIH Women’s Hockey Olympic Qualifier was scored by Selin Oruz in the 7th minute.

Germany took a 1-0 lead in the match by converting the second penalty corner. The second goal was scored in the 10th minute by Jette Fleschutz with a brilliant field goal to take the lead to 2-0.

After a 2-0 lead in the first half, they increased the pressure on Germany by scoring the third goal in the second half. Lisa Nolte scored a field goal in the 38th minute. Sonja Zimmerman got the Player of the Match in the match.

Jharkhand Sports Minister Hafizul Hasan, Sports Secretary Manoj Kumar, Hockey India Treasurer Shekhar J Manoharan, Hockey India General Secretary Bholanath Singh were present on the occasion.
