Ranchi, Aug 8: State’s IT and Industries Department Secretary Sunil Barnwal chaired the progress in addressal of complaints registered at the Jan Samwad Kendra here during which he reviewed a total of 11 complaints.
Over a complaint from Garhwa related to delay in repair of Khajuri Dam of Vishrampur block he sought clarification from the executive engineer of the irrigation department and asked him to explain the reasons as to why the repair of the dam was deliberately delayed. A miffed Barnwal went on to say the engineers like him do not deserve their salaries.
Over a complaint from Chatra related to irregularities in Satynand Bhokat Inter College he directed a lawyer who is working as the principal in that college be removed within two days. The DEO was instructed that if changes do not place than the affiliation of the college be cancelled.
He also ordered strict action against the assistant engineer and junior engineer who withdrew Rs 12 lakh for building a check dam in Nawadih of Hazaribagh and still the work was pending. He ordered that their salaries be stopped and money returned from them and if within stipulated time the money was not returned that FIR should be registered against them.
