Ranchi: The ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha on Thursday accused the leader of the legislature wing of BJP Babulal Marandi of making a U-turn on his previous stands as far as the use of mines and minerals of the state was concerned.
JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya has asked a series of questions from the former Chief Minister after he raised objections to the present state government decision of preserving seven iron ore mines for Jharkhand State Mineral Development Corporation.
He said that a year earlier when Babulal Marandi was heading JVM-P he use to speak a different language against those holders who had the lease of those seven iron ore mines and often use to point how under Raghubar Raj benefits were given to them.
Bhattacharya also pointed the stand taken by Mr Marandi when PTPS was given to NTPC and land and other resources for Adani Power in Godda. He demanded the BJP leader to tell the people as to what had made him realize that now the state-run PSUs are not efficient and why suddenly he is standing in favour of iron ore mining leaseholders.
