Election Commission launched ‘Main Bhi Election Ambassador’ Social Media Campaign on 7th May from 6 to 8 pm

Ranchi:  Lok Sabha elections 2024 are being celebrated as the festival of democracy. Awareness campaigns regarding this are also being run at various levels. Chief Electoral Officer K. On Thursday, Ravi Kumar held a meeting with all the CBSE and ICSE school principals of the state through Google Meet.

He said that with the aim of increasing voter participation in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, all the schools, college children, influencers, celebrities and people of the state must participate in the Main Bhi Election Ambassador social media campaign on May 7 from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Meanwhile, every citizen must upload digital content of his/her actions on social media to make voters aware about voting and to celebrate the great festival of elections with enthusiasm. Also, make sure to tag the social media accounts of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand and the Election Commission of India. He said that children from schools and colleges participated enthusiastically in the sweep program to convey the importance of voting among the voters.

They are playing an important role in the elections as our future and first time voters. Many sweep related activities are being conducted by children in schools and colleges. These children have done many interesting and entertaining activities like quiz competition, poster making, slogan, letter writing etc. to spread awareness among their parents and nearby voters.

Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar said that it is the priority of the Election Commission to tell the voters about the importance of elections and motivate them to take part in voting. Along with this, making voters aware about ethical voting is also an important task. By connecting school children with programs like ‘Main Bhi Election Ambassador’, we will be able to prepare them as conscious voters of democracy. Besides, they will also be able to decide their participation in future elections.

In the meeting organized through online medium, Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Neha Arora from Nirvachan Sadan, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Subodh Kumar, Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Dev Das Dutta, Deputy Electoral Officer Sanjay Kumar and headmasters of all CBSE and ICSE schools of the state were present. Everyone has equal rights in elections, we all have to contribute to it and also inspire people around us towards it.
