ED wrote a letter to the Chief Secretary, said- register an FIR on the land of Bajra Mauza

Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) wrote a letter to the Chief Secretary of Jharkhand under Section 66 (2) of the PMLA asking for registration of FIR on 7.16 acres of Bajra Mauza land in Hehal zone. On June 12, the ED temporarily attached 7.16 acres of Bajra Mauza’s land, whose market value is Rs 32.87 crore.

During his tenure, the then DC of Ranchi, Chhavi Ranjan, had ordered the cancellation of 82-year-old jamabandi of 7.16 acres of Bajra Mauza land in Hehal zone. At the same time, declaring the plain panchnama prepared by the Zonal Officer as correct, an order was given to carry out mutation in the name of Vinod Singh. After this, on the request of those who bought the land from Vinod Singh, 150 police personnel were deployed and the land was cordoned off.

In this case, the then commissioner had recommended the government to take action against all the people involved in the forgery including the deputy commissioner. However, the government did not take any action against anyone.

The 10 accused, against whom the ED has filed a charge sheet in the special court, include Bhanu Pratap Prasad, revenue sub-inspector of Bargai circle, Pradeep Bagchi, a fake raiyat of army-occupied land, Afsar Ali alias RIMS, a resident of Millat Colony of Zamin Dalal Bariatu. Afsu Khan, Doranda’s Mani Tola resident Imtiaz Ahmed, Bargain residents Mohammad Saddam Hussain, Talha Khan, Fayaz Ahmed, former Ranchi Deputy Commissioner IAS Chhavi Ranjan arrested on May 4, Jagatbandhu Tea Estate director Dilip Ghosh and Amit Agarwal.
