Ranchi: ED has made another arrest in the land scam case related to former Chief Minister Hemant Soren. ED has arrested Saddam, the mastermind of making fake deeds. After his arrest, he was produced in the special court under PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) under tight security.
During this, ED’s special public prosecutor Shiv Kumar alias Kaka ji requested the court to allow the accused to be interrogated for 7 days. Which was opposed by the accused’s advocate Sneh Singh. The court had heard the arguments of both sides. After some time the court can give order on remand.
Saddam is also an accused in ED case numbers 5/2023 and 1/2023. The agency had recovered more than three dozen deeds from it which are related to different lands.
In fact, in the investigation so far in the land scam, Amit Aggarwal, Dilip Ghosh, former Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi Chhavi Ranjan, Revenue Sub Inspector of Baragain zone Bhanu Pratap Prasad, alleged ryot Pradeep Bagchi, land businessman Afsar Ali, Imtiaz Khan, Talha Khan, Faiyaz Khan has been arrested. All the accused are currently in judicial custody.
