Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax Department teams are raiding several locations in Deoghar and Godda regarding the land and liquor business of Charushila Trust. The ED team reached the residences of businessman Mukesh Bajaj and many other people in Godda on Monday morning and started raids.
In Deoghar, the Income Tax Department team is raiding the locations of Umashankar Singh, Sanjay Malviya, Mahesh Lath and many others. All the people whose premises the ED team is raiding have connections with famous liquor businessman Yogendra Tiwari. All the people were earlier associated with liquor and land business.
Yogendra Tiwari was arrested by ED recently. ED officials are interrogating Yogendra Tiwari by taking him on remand. During the interrogation, Yogendra Tiwari told the names of his other associates to the ED, after which the ED has been raiding many places in Godda and Deoghar since Monday morning.
