Ranchi: The Election Commission of India has announced the Dumri assembly by-election. The by-election will be held on 5 September and the date of counting has been fixed on 8 September.
Notification will be released on 10th August. The nomination will be done on 17th August. The date for withdrawal of nominations has been kept till August 21. This seat has become vacant after the demise of Dumri MLA Jagarnath Mahato.
Along with Jharkhand, voting will also be held on 6 assembly seats in 5 other states on 5 September. These include Jharkhand, Kerala, Tripura, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
