Due to less crowd Kanwariyas offering Jalabhishek easily

Ranchi:  The world-famous Shravani Mela of Deoghar is slowly moving. Baba Baidyanath’s court was opened for common devotees on Friday. Along with this, a queue-wise crowd of Kanwariyas thronged to offer water. Devotees were queued up from Shivganga at Shivram Jha Chowk and brought to the sanctum sanctorum via Q Complex, Footover Bridge, Sanskar Mandap and offered water. Here the Kanwariyas offered water to Baba through Argha.

During this, the entire Devghar echoed with the chants of Bolbam. However, there has not been a relative crowd of Kanwariyas here till now. Due to two months of Shravan this year, the pressure of the crowd will be less. Despite this, the administration is leaving no stone unturned on its part. Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri himself was seen monitoring each and every activity of the fair area.

SP Subhash Chandra Jat was busy taking stock of crowd control, traffic and security arrangements. SP Vijayashankar, who came on deputation from Jamshedpur, was engaged in monitoring the queue of devotees. Mist cooling system is being used for the purpose of providing respite from the heat to the devotees so that the devotees queuing up to offer water should feel cool in the continuous humid heat.

Apart from this, mist cooling systems have been used on both the floors of Sanskar Mandap for the convenience of devotees queuing up for water offering. Mist cooling system has also been used in both the pandals of Nehru Park holding point.
