DGP’s instructions to increase security of court premises and judges’ residential colony

Ranchi: On Tuesday, DGP Ajay Kumar Singh held a review meeting with the SSP and SP of the districts on the security arrangements of the state court complexes and judges’ residential colonies.

During the meeting, DGP discussed in detail with the Zonal IG, and DIGs of all ranges about the security points of the court complex and Judge Colony falling within their area and directed to immediately remove the shortcomings.

Apart from this, during the review meeting, the DGP gave instructions to continuously conduct surprise inspections in the court premises, judges and their residential colonies by the deputed officers and senior police officers of the forces and rectify the deficiencies found.

The deputation officers and forces were asked to undergo training, pre-duty briefing and continuous monitoring to ensure their readiness for duty. During the review meeting, the DGP directed to install front, boundary wall, fencing wire and CCTV cameras and strengthen other arrangements for security arrangements.
