Death toll in road accidents increased in 14 districts, Ranchi on top

Ranchi: The number of people dying in road accidents has increased in 14 districts of Jharkhand. Whereas there has been a decrease in ten districts.

According to the report of Jharkhand Police Headquarters, there has been an increase in the number of deaths in road accidents in Jharkhand in 2023 compared to 2022. In the year 2022, 10 people died every day in road accidents, in the year 2023 this number has increased to 12.

Mining work takes place in all 14 districts of Jharkhand where the number of deaths in road accidents has increased. There have been 3,176 road accidents in Jharkhand during the last nine months, in which 3021 people have lost their lives.

2,094 people were also injured. Ranchi is at the top in terms of road accidents, 534 road accidents took place here in the last nine months, in which 366 people lost their lives. While 349 people were injured.
