Ranchi: Cybercriminals are demanding money from people by creating fake CBI papers. In this regard, Jharkhand Police has appealed to the common people and said that fake letters in the name of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) and CBI are in circulation. Please verify the authenticity of the source before believing such letters, emails, or messages. They may be part of phishing attacks.
Cybercriminals have created fake emails of CBI. Through this email, the common people are told that you have made the picture of a minor child viral. Action can be taken against you under the POCSO Act. Also, the criminals say that before registering the case, we decided to contact you personally. You reply within 24 hours. Otherwise action may be taken against you.
In this way, cybercriminals are threatening to demand money from people in the name of hushing up the matter.
