Contractual Para Teachers staged a protest against Government on Breach of Promise

Ranchi: Around 62,000 Contractual Para Teachers from all over the state are agitating demanding regularization of job and hike in their salaries.

Para teachers from all 4 districts of Jharkhand gathered at Morhabadi Grounds to stage a protest against the state government over permanent jobs and increasing salaries.

Teachers were stopped by police near Morhabadi TOP while they were starting their protest rally from Morhabadi Grounds on their way to Raj Bhavan.

During the protest rally, they had a conversation with the Patrolling Magistrate and Police Officials in Ranchi. Teachers demanded to have a dialogue directly with the Chief Minister because the charge of the Education Ministry is kept in the CM’s office after the demise of Education Minister Jagannath Mahato.

After talks with officials on deputation, a delegation consisting of 10 Committee Members had a dialogue with CM Secretary Vinay Choubey.

Para teachers under the banner of ‘Ekikrit Sahayak Sangharsh Morcha’ led by Vinod Bihari Mahato, Sanjay Kumar Dubey, Rishikesh Pathak and others staged a huge round of demonstrations against the state government. Demands of Para Teachers are as follows Registered cases filed by the previous government should be taken back.

4 % increment in Salary. Assistant teachers should get pending salaries with EPF. Evaluation of the Examination should be done with immediate effect. Amendments should be done on the recruitment of assistant principals. Compensation should be given to the family members of deceased assistant teachers. Retired teachers should get pension. The Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) should get the same status as the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET).
