Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday launched the book ‘ Vicharon Ke Gyrah Adhyay’ written by Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Ravindranath Mahto.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that through this book an attempt has been made to bring together the history and present. He said that as a writer whatever thoughts have been shared in the book by the Speaker will prove to be a milestone and will be also useful for the common people. He said that through the book the author has touched various aspects of life in Jharkhand.
While on one hand, it sheds light on the historic agitations and rich cultural tradition and heritage of the tribals while on the other hand it is also dedicated to the martyrs of the separate statehood movement. Further, the book also tries to tell the importance of the formation of smaller states in the Indian Republic, sports and sporting talents have been also highlighted in the book.
The Chief Minister said that special focus has been accorded on the constitution and parliamentary norms. Attempts have been made to highlight how better coordination can be established between the judiciary, executive and legislative, moreover, important comments made by the Speaker have been also included in the book.
Moreover, the book has also expressed its concern over environmental protection. The Chief Minister called on the people to come forward for environmental protection and said that if people take a pledge to protect one tree it will be an usher in a major revolution in the state. He suggested that people give plants and saplings instead of mementos in any programs and events. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Alamgir Aalam, many cabinet ministers, and MLAs were present in the event.
