Ranchi: During the ongoing budget session of the Jharkhand Assembly MLAs of the BJP on Wednesday raised the issue of taking out the Ramnavmi Procession in Hazaribagh. As soon as the house assembled for the day Hazaribagh Sadar MLA Manish Jaiswal raised the issue of permission for taking out Ramnavmi and Sarhul Procession.
He said that on many occasions the matter has been raised inside the Assembly and he even met the Chief Minister and other cabinet colleagues over the matter but so far no decision has been taken. Replying to the issue Parliamentary Affairs Minister Alamgir Aalam said that the MLA has met him and given him an application in this regard.
He said that the government will give respect to all the religions and currently the matter is deliberated by the government. Angry over the reply of the minister angry MLAs of the BJP started an uproar inside the Assembly.
MLA Bhanu Pratap Sahi said that government is anti-Hindu and is doing the politics of appeasement. Angry with the uproar Speaker Ravindranath Mahto said that the tradition is not correct but whenever the minister stands to speak the MLAs stand on their seats and raise the matter. He said that any issue is solved peacefully then there was no point in creating an uproar.
On the other hand, Barkagaon MLA Amba Prasad said that as part of the conspiracy the then MLA Nirmala Devi was implicated in the case. She said that democracy has been murdered and asked as to whether Nirmala Devi had sat on dharna with a gun and see did what was expected of elected representatives.
Amba said that Nirmala Devi was staging a dharna in support of the displaced and claimed that to protect the officials a wrong case has been framed. Prior to that Speaker Ravindranath Mahto directed the Chief Secretary and Secretary of Cabinet Secretariat department to give due respect to the elected representatives as per protocol.
On the other hand, MLA CP Singh raised the issue of teachers being included in noneducational works. Due to Corona 71 percent of students between classes 1 to 5 were denied education. Replying to the issue Minister Jaggarnath Mahto rejected the claims of
the MLA that teachers have been included in non-teaching works. He said that teachers work as BLOs only when the schools are closed while in the previous government teachers were being made to sell liquors.
Chief whip of the BJP Biranchi Narayan demanded to raise the issue of increasing the MLA funds while MLA Ramchandra Chandravansi also demanded for increasing the salary of the MLAs. The JMM attacked the Raj Bhawan over delay in passing the mob lynching bill. MLA Sudivya Kumar said that BJP does not want the killers of Rupesh Pandey get justice over which the BJP MLAs demanded that comments of the MLA be removed from the proceedings of the house. Bhanu Pratap Sahi said that in Jharkhand no one is safe right from policemen to officials. He said that even journalists are not safe in the state and raised the issue of the killing of Baijnath Mahto.
