CM is trying to create a different definition of tribal, wants to take sentimental benefit: Sameer Oraon

Ranchi: National President of BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha and Rajya Sabha MP Sameer Oraon has said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren is trying to create a different definition of tribal. Nothing has been done for the tribals, but they want to take sentimental benefits by playing the tribal card.

Sameer Oraon was holding a press conference at the state headquarters of BJP in Ranchi. He said that the tribals of the state have their own tradition, culture, identity, nature and self-respect. It is their nature to fight against injustice, but CM Hemant Soren is defining the tribals on the basis of the family characteristics of the Soren family, which is expert in horse-trading.

Sameer Oraon said that the business of the Soren family has always been that of buying and selling. Before the separation of Jharkhand, these people worked to sell the Jharkhand movement and now they are working to sell the identity of Jharkhand. What has the Soren family, which claims to be the messiah of the tribals, done for the tribals? When the Hemant government was formed, 7 people of a tribal family were murdered in Chaibasa.

Rameshwar Murmu, a descendant of martyr Sido-Kanhu, was murdered. Inspector Roopa Tirkey died suspiciously. Tupudana police station in-charge Sandhya Topno was killed by cattle smugglers. Rubika Pahadia, a girl from the primitive tribe, was cut into pieces.

The Chief Minister should tell what he did to relieve the suffering of the tribals. Sameer Oraon said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren says that he is a tribal Chief Minister, hence he is being implicated. The reality is that he is not concerned about the tribals of the state. The only concern is about looting the water, forests and land of the tribals.

In violation of the CNT-SPT Act, the Soren family has looted the land of tribals by changing names across the state. The tribals have understood this and will teach them a lesson in the elections.
