CM Heman Soren inaugurates 132/33 KV Grid Substation at Jamundi

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday inaugurated the much-awaited 132/33 KV Grid Substation Jarmundi and 132 KV Double Circuit LILO Transmission through virtual mode from his residential office.

Commissioning of this grid substation will overcome the power shortage in Santhal Pargana. This line started with the inauguration. In this grid substation, electricity will be taken from Dumka and Deoghar grids. This will be a double-circuit line. That is, electricity can come from one side and can go from the other side.

Due to this, the power crisis in Santhal Pargana will go away. Basukinath pilgrimage site, Taljhari, Ghoramara, Jarmundi and Sonarayathadi areas etc. will be directly benefited by the commencement of this World Bank-sponsored scheme at a cost of 61.32 crores. The problem of low voltage continuing for years in this area will be solved.

On the occasion of the inauguration, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said, “I congratulate the office bearers and employees of Jharkhand Urja Vikas Nigam Limited and Jharkhand Urja Sancharan Nigam Limited, who have taken a firm resolve to provide uninterrupted and quality electricity to every person of the state.” Due to the shortage of electricity in the Dumka and Deoghar districts, now there will be an uninterrupted power supply.

Now, with the availability of 80 MW of additional power, there will be uninterrupted and quality power supply in areas like Basukinath pilgrimage site, Taljhari, Ghoramara, Jarmundi, Sonarayathadi etc. Lakhs of people in these areas will be directly or indirectly benefited. Will get rid of the problem of low voltage. 

Along with the inauguration of Baba Basukinath and Shravani Mela in the Deoghar and Dumka districts, a power grid sub-station is also being inaugurated here at this important time. This grid substation will work from today to serve the people here.

Chief Minister Soren said, “The power grid sub-station is like a pillar of a house.” For uninterrupted power supply in the state, the state government is doing the work of building area-wise power grid sub-stations on a large scale. With the formation of grid substations, the problem of low voltage and interruptions in power supply can be solved. 

Addressing the people present at the inauguration site online, the CM said, “Along with better power supply, our government is providing free electricity to those consumer families whose monthly consumption is less than one hundred units. “ Our government is working with public welfare and sensitivity. The government has also done the work of giving relief on the outstanding electricity bill. The state government has also made a provision to pay the electricity bill money gradually in installments to families who are in arrears of electricity bills. Public participation is also very important in restoring better and qualitative electricity service.

On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Badal Patralekh said, “In his welcome address from the inauguration site, today is a special day for Dumka and Deoghar districts.” The inauguration of the 132/33 KV grid substation in Jarmundi and the 132 KV double-track LILO transmission line at Taljhari in Jarmundi shows the commitment of the state government. He said, “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, historical work is being done continuously in the field of uninterrupted power supply in the state.”

On this occasion, State Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Vandana Dadel, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, JBVNL Director KK Verma Verma, Deputy Commissioner Dumka Ravi Shankar Shukla, and many others were present from the Chief Minister’s Residential Office
