CM directs Garhwa DC to help a 105 year old woman

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren directed the Garhwa DC to help a 105 year old woman hailing from Ranka block withdraw money from the bank.

The Chief Minister on Twitter directed the Garhwa DC to make sure that unnecessarily no one should be troubled for their rights. He suggested that with the help of dedicated banking correspondents repeat of such instances can be stopped.

Post the instructions of the Chief Minister the manager of the concerned rural bank handed a sum of Rs 1,500 in the hand of the woman Pachiya Kunwar.

The Chief Minister was informed that Vifan Bhuiyaan of Ranka block was running after the bank by carrying his 105 year old mother on his back as she wanted to withdraw a sum of Rs 1,500 from her Jan Dhan account. The man had brought his mother on two occasions but was not allowed to enter the bank due to fear of Coronavirus, moreover, the woman was also not receiving her pension for the last six months.
