CM directs Dumka DC to provide clean drinking water to villagers of Jojotola

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday directed Dumka DC to provide clean drinking water to residents of Jojotola under Massalia block of Dumka district.

He has also asked the Drinking Water Minister to take cognisance of the matter. Post the instructions of the Chief Minister the administration swung into action with the DC informing that engineers of the drinking water department and Block Development Officer of Massalia have been sent on the spot to make an assessment of the situation and assured that within 24 hours the orders would be implemented.

The Chief Minister was informed on Twitter that residents of Jojotola were forced to drink unclean water from a local river and had requested the Chief Minister to help them provide with clean drinking water.

On Twitter the Chief Minister also directed the DC of Giridih to ensure that the family member of the deceased Jeevlal Mandal a resident of Barai village under Birni block are provided all necessary government benefits including food grains to the family.

The Chief Minister was informed that para teacher Jeevlal Mandal had died a year earlier as the family could not afford proper healthcare and currently the kin were facing food grain crisis as for the last 8 months they were running to get the ration cards but  unfortunately till date they could not get the ration card.
