CM assures full government support to all Durga Puja organising committees

Ranchi: A delegation comprising representatives of Ranchi District Durga Puja Committee Mahanagar Durga Puja Committee, Durga Puja Mahasamiti- Yuwa Dasta, and Ranchi Rural Durga Puja Committee met Chief Minister Hemant Soren here.

The Chief Minister in his interaction with the delegation said that after two years preparations are going on in full swing to celebrate the festival of Durga Puja this time with full gaiety, zeal and pomp. He said that big, grand and attractive puja pandals are being built everywhere and every person and every section of society should enjoy these festivals to the fullest but all should maintain an atmosphere of peace and harmony.

He assured the puja organizing committees that all arrangements will be given to them by the government so that the festival is celebrated nicely. He said necessary instructions have been given to the administration regarding providing electricity-water and maintaining cleanliness with security. The Chief Minister said that people should celebrate other festivals including Durga Puja in such a way that it proves to be an example in the years to come.

On the other hand, the Chief Minister said that the corona has become weak now and only a few cases of Covid-19 infection are coming but people still needed to be careful. He requested them to follow whatever guidelines are being given by the government.

The Chief Minister said that every year in Durga Puja, the administration has been getting the full support of various committees and similar cooperation is expected from all of them this year as well. He said that with their cooperation, this year’s Durga Puja festival will definitely set a different example.

He urged the volunteers of the puja committees to be vigilant around the puja pandals, especially for the safety of women and to maintain coordination with the administration during the entire puja.

Ranchi District Durga Puja Committee and Mahanagar Shree Durga Puja Committee invited the Chief Minister to visit various puja pandals with the family and seek darshan and blessings of the mother. They also honoured the Chief Minister with a ‘chunari’ on the occasion. The delegation assured the Chief Minister of full cooperation to the administration during the festival.
