Chief Minister inspected the Jaipal Singh Munda Astroturf Stadium of Marang Gomke located in Morabadi

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday inspected the Jaipal Singh Munda Astroturf Stadium of Marang Gomke located in Morabadi, Ranchi. Chief Minister gave many important instructions to the officials related to the arrangements of the stadium in light of the upcoming Asian Women’s Hockey Championship.

The Chief Minister said that it is the priority of the state government to provide international level facilities for the players and spectators at Jaipal Singh Munda Astroturf Stadium in Marang Gomke. This stadium is the International Astroturf Hockey Stadium of the state, the arrangements of this stadium should be of high standard.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister inspected the modern blue turf laid in the stadium. The officials told the Chief Minister that the renovation work in the stadium is still in progress. While inspecting the stadium, the Chief Minister ordered cleaning and painting of the chairs in the spectators’ gallery, painting the stadium premises, repairing the LED screens installed inside and outside the field, installing photos of sports persons at identified places in the stadium, and score display screens. Gave instructions to officials related to enlarging the building and many other state-of-the-art facilities. 

It may be noted that the Asian Women’s Hockey Championship is to be hosted by Ranchi from 27 October to 5 November. Apart from India, teams from Japan, South Korea, China, Malaysia and Thailand will participate in this championship. 

Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mrs. Vandana Dadel, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mr. Vinay Kumar Choubey, Municipal Commissioner Mr. Amit Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Ranchi Mr. Rahul Kumar Sinha, Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Chandan Sinha and others were present on the occasion.
