Governor and CM paid homage to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi

Ranchi: Governor CP Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and paid homage to him. On the occasion, the artists of the bhajan group presented Bapu’s favorite bhajans and Ram Dhun at the Mahatma Gandhi statue site located in Bapu Vatika.

Addressing the representatives of press and media on this occasion, Hemant Soren said “ today is a historic day for the country. Today we all are celebrating the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi with great enthusiasm and zeal. Today is the day to take a pledge that how we all should realize the thoughts, ideals, guidance and message of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, the vision of a clean mind, clean thinking and a clean society”.

He said “ Mahatma Gandhi was a unique talent. All of us countrymen should be proud of the fact that our country had a personality like the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Following Bapu’s thoughts, we need to work with a spirit of sacrifice and dedication, only then the vision of a happy and prosperous society will be fulfilled”.

On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP . Mahua Manji, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mrs. Vandana Dadel, Principal Secretary to the Governor Dr. Nitin Madan Kulkarni, Deputy Commissioner Ranchi Mr. Rahul Kumar Sinha, Senior Superintendent of Police Ranchi Mr. Chandan Sinha, CEO of State Khadi Board Mr. R.C. Basera, Representatives of Tana Bhagat community and other dignitaries were present in large numbers.
