Chief Minister inaugurates newly constructed Vegetable Market and Sardar Patel Park in capital

Ranchi: Before Diwali, the people of the capital received twin gifts on Wednesday in form of the vegetable market and Sardar Patel Park which were inaugurated by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that the vegetable market has been designed keeping in mind all the facilities. He said that people of capital are aware of the condition of Naga Baba vegetable market in the past but now it is the
the endeavor of the government that everything should be available to the people of the state in an orderly manner.

He said nowhere vegetables will be bought and sold in a clean environment. He asked the people to cooperate in its maintenance by considering it as their own market. The Chief Minister said that for those who set up shop here, this market is going to become a means of livelihood for their family. Keeping it clean and safe is a big responsibility and all have to bear this responsibility, he said.

Later speaking after the inauguration ceremony of Sardar Patel Park located in Harmu Housing Colony, the Chief Minister said that urbanization is increasing as a result of which skyscrapers are being built by cutting down trees but people should never challenge the environment.

For the residents of the area this park will be helpful in spending the priceless moment of life in materialistic times he said adding that it is now the responsibility of the people to protect the park so that the beauty of the beautiful park is always maintained.

More than 300 vegetable vendors will get shops in the newly constructed Vegetable Market at Naga Baba Khatal. For this, the Municipal Corporation has constructed 191 platforms in the market. Two shopkeepers will be settled in the big platform. Apart from this, place will be given to those who sell fruits on the handcart in the shed built on both sides of the market.

A food court has been built on the terrace of the Vegetable Market. The corporation has arranged for seven different kitchens here. Parking has been arranged around the market. Due to the establishment of shops on the road in Naga Baba Vegetable Market, the situation of jam persists throughout the day now people will get relief from this.

On this occasion MP Sanjay Seth, Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash, MLA CP Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Municipal Commissioner Mukesh Kumar, Mayor Asha Lakra, Deputy and others were present.
