Chief Minister Hemant Soren Engages with Bloomberg Asia-Pacific Media in Davos

Davos / Ranchi: On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren held an in-depth interaction with Ms. Sunita Rajan, Managing Director, Bloomberg Asia-Pacific, a leading global media organization. During the discussion, the Chief Minister elaborated on the objectives of Jharkhand’s participation at Davos, the state’s strategic priorities, and its long-term development roadmap for the next 25 years.

The Chief Minister stated that Jharkhand, as a young and aspiring state, is participating in Davos for the first time with confidence in its strengths, opportunities, and a clearly defined vision for the future. He emphasized that the state is moving beyond its traditional mineral-based identity and is steadily emerging as a hub for green industrial development, critical minerals, clean energy, human resource development, and inclusive economic growth.

He further highlighted that the Government of Jharkhand is committed to pursuing a balanced, sustainable, and employment-driven development model over the next 25 years, in which global investments, technology transfer, and strong institutional partnerships will play a pivotal role.

During the interaction, representatives of Bloomberg Asia-Pacific shared that Bloomberg plans to organize a Global Special Roundtable in India in October this year. The high-profile event is expected to bring together CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, global industry leaders, policymakers, and eminent personalities from various fields, including the former Mayor of New York. Ms. Sunita Rajan formally invited Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren to participate in the proposed roundtable and expressed strong interest in presenting Jharkhand’s development vision and emerging opportunities to global leaders.
