Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren discussed with the senior police officers of the state regarding the maintenance of law and order. The Chief Minister expressed strong displeasure over the small and big criminal incidents taking place within the state at present.
The Chief Minister directed the police officers to improve the law and order situation in the state within the next 15 days. The Chief Minister asked the police officers to curb criminal incidents by improving their working style, if the situation does not improve then the concerned police officers will not go to the box.
The Chief Minister said that in the last few days, criminals have done the work of committing many heinous crimes, calling law and order maintenance a sham. Such crimes are not acceptable under any circumstances. The criminal incidents happening at present are a matter of concern for the state.
The police should ensure that strict action is taken against the criminals without any pressure so that there is no recurrence of criminal incidents.
State DGP Ajay Kumar Singh, ADG Operation Sanjay Anand Rao Latkar, IG Operation Amol Venukant Homkar, SP ATS Surendra Jha and other senior police officers were present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren said to DGP Ajay Kumar Singh in a clear tone that you have been given a free hand by me to control crime, but why are you not getting success in crime control?
On the occasion, the Chief Minister took complete information from the senior officers of the Police Department about the criminal incidents happening in the state and the law and order situation for crime control and also gave many important guidelines to the police officers regarding crime control.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that in the last few days, the face of crime in the state is changing every day.
New crimes are being committed.
Many crimes are being committed in a planned manner.
Some people are trying their best to tarnish the image of the state government.
The Chief Minister expressed his displeasure over why the police department is not able to clamp down on well-planned criminal activities and new crimes in the state.
Along with this, the Chief Minister gave strict instructions to the police officers to strengthen the information system.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Hemant Soren told the police officers that maintenance of law and order in the state is the topmost priority of our government.
No laxity should be done in crime control, laxity will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The Chief Minister said that new challenges are coming before the police administration.
The police department should not be negligent in dealing with these challenges, no matter how big the criminal may be, no matter how big a group of criminals have received shelter, the police should ensure that action is taken without any pressure.
Under no circumstances should the crime graph go up in the state.
The police department must do the work of breaking the morale of the criminals.
The Chief Minister directed the officers that with your understanding, your working style, your information system, your creativity and vigilance, criminal incidents can be curbed immediately.
The Chief Minister said to the officers that the incidents of planned crime may increase in the coming times, many challenges may also come in front of you, and the police department should prepare a strategy to deal with the present as well as future challenges.
