Ranchi: A high-level CRM team of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India had reached Ranchi to see the details of rural development schemes being implemented in the state. The CRM team visited various districts of the state from February 19 to February 22. During the tour of seven districts including Khunti, Gumla, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, the schemes operated under MNREGA and Integrated Livelihood Cluster were observed.
During the field visit, various schemes related to Rural Development Department like MNREGA, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), NRLM, Rurban, etc were inspected. After the inspection on Wednesday, a meeting was convened by the former Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu Dr Rajeev Ranjan in the first-floor auditorium of the New Project Building building to review all the programmes related to the Rural Development Department.
In the meeting, Manish Ranjan, Secretary Rural Development Department, Rajeshwari B, MNREGA Commissioner, CEO Jalchhajan Vinay Kant Mishra, Additional Secretary Rural Development Department Ram Kumar Sinha, and other officials were present. During the field visit by the CRM team, the findings found in various schemes were discussed and necessary guidelines were given to do better in different schemes. In the meeting, a memento was presented to the former Chief Secretary Tamil Nadu by the MGNREGA commissioner. The team includes former NABARD GM Dharanidhar Mishra, Retired Professor Center for Rural Infrastructure NIRD&PR Hyderabad Polanki Shivaram and Associate Professor Hemanta Kumar Unmati.
