Budget Session: BJP demands direct recruitment of TET pass teachers, government asks to look back on previous acts

Ranchi: The state government on Wednesday said that as per the new rules appointment of teachers will be done in the state.

During the ongoing Budget Session of Jharkhand Assembly while replying to a question minister Mithlesh Thakur said due to the acts of the previous government more than 600 court cases are pending and to solve the issue the state government is framing new set of rules and on the basis of those rules teachers will be appointed in the state.

BJP MLA Bhanu Pratap Sahi demanded that direct appointments should be made on vacant posts for TET pass teachers on this the minister said that everyone is aware over the fate of the teachers and para teachers which happened under the BJP government.

Adding further the Minister said that TET is only an eligibility exam however on the basis of it appointment cannot be made. He said that the process of framing the new set of rules and regulations was on and once it is done the process of recruitment will be done, however he did not answer clearly as from when this recruitment process will commence.

At present more than 39,000 posts of government teachers are vacant in primary and high schools of the state.
