Ranchi: A woman has been brutally murdered by being crushed with a stone in the street near Bazaar Tand of Bedo police station area of the district. This incident is said to have happened late at night. The deceased has been identified as Poonam Oraon. She used to work as a labourer.
After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot, took the body into custody and started further investigation. The body will be sent for post-mortem today on Sunday. The family members told the police that there was a dispute going on between his daughter Poonam Oraon and his son regarding compensation for the land.
The dispute was regarding compensation for the land going into the Bedo bypass road. She was originally a resident of Binay Bagicha in Bedo. At present she lived in a rented house below the electrical substation.
