Bodies of two brothers who drowned in Dhurva Dam recovered

Ranchi:  The bodies of two brothers who drowned while bathing in Dhurva Dam located in Nagdi police station area have been recovered. The NDRF team took out the bodies of both of them from the water on Sunday. Both the brothers have been identified as Arya Sharma (16 years), son of Sudeep Sharma, resident of Dhurva Dam Tank Side, and nephew Alok alias Prashant (17 years).

Arya Sharma’s father Sudeep Sharma told that he did not know when both the children left home for Dhurva Dam. According to the information, Arya Sharma and Alok drowned in Dhurva Dam while taking bath on Saturday. According to eyewitnesses, both the boys had crossed the danger mark made in the dam, due to which they drowned.

Local divers did a lot of searching on Saturday. But nothing could be found from both of them. After this, the NDRF team reached there at around 4.45 pm on Saturday evening and searched the bodies of the two brothers. But due to darkness they could not be found.

After this, on Sunday morning the NDRF team started the search again and recovered the bodies of both. Both brothers were students of Prabhat Tara School.
