Ranchi: Observer of Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency D.S. Ramesh inspected the MCMC/Media Cell located at Ranchi Zonal Office (City). During this, Nodal Officer MCMC/Media Cell cum District Public Relations Officer Ranchi Urvashi Pandey and Assistant Director Social Security Ranchi Ravi Shankar Mishra were present.
The General Observer made a detailed assessment of the work of MCMC/Media Cell and took information about all the works being done sequentially. The District Public Relations Officer gave complete information to the general observer and told how this cell is working in paid news/fake news/advertisement (election).
Information was also given about how this cell does pre-certification of advertisements. While taking information from the Nodal Officer, the General Observer asked about the paid news/advertisement/pre-certification (one day before the poll day) coming in the print media.
Expressing satisfaction over the work being done in MCMC/Media Cell, he said that the guidelines of the Election Commission of India should be followed. The General Observer inspected 1950 toll free call centres located in the District Election Office located at the Collectorate.
He took information related to the calls coming here. So that we can know what kind of calls are coming here and how you are giving them information. Taking all kinds of information like how they answer people’s questions, the number of calls received, whether they are recorded in the register or not, he specifically said that all of you should follow the given guidelines.
