Ranchi — In a powerful display of community spirit and humanitarian commitment, BNI Ranchi successfully organized a two-day Mega Blood Donation Camp on 13th and 14th June 2025 at Firayalal Banquet Hall, from 9 AM to 6 PM, in collaboration with Life Savers, Jharkhand Thalassemia Foundation, and Sadar Hospital Blood Bank.
This large-scale drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens across the city, marking a significant contribution to the state’s healthcare system.
Day 1 Highlights – 13th June 2025
• A commendable 166 units of blood were collected.
• A large number of first-time donors stepped forward to contribute.
• The event was honoured by the gracious presence of:
• Honourable Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Mrs. Deepika Pandey Singh
• SDM Ranchi, Shri Utkarsh Kumar (IAS)
• Civil Surgeon, Dr. Prabhat Kumar
Day 2 Highlights – 14th June 2025 (World Blood Donor Day)
• Marking the global celebration of World Blood Donor Day, the second day saw an overwhelming turnout with approximately 335 units collected.
• The cumulative total over the two days reached 501 units, reflecting a heartening response from the public.
• Key highlights included:
• Participation of around 70 first-time donors.
• 20 couple donors donated over both days.
• 60 women donors contributed over the course of the event.
• SDO Utkarsh Kumar donated blood alongside his brother.
• ADG Mr. Sanjay Anand Rao Lathkar (IPS) and Mrs. Julie Neeta Sokey (Assistant Director, VBDA JSACS) also donated, the latter alongside her son Shanon.
• The event was further honoured by the presence of SSP Ranchi, Shri Chandan Sinha (IPS) and DC Ranchi, Shri Manjunath Bhajantri (IPS).
The Mega Camp was spearheaded under the guidance of Mr. Ankit Jain, Executive Director of BNI Ranchi, who shared the details of the event and thanked all donors and supporters for making the drive a resounding success.
BNI members Mr. Atul Gera, Mr. Mohit Chopra, Mr. Nishant Ahuja, and several other dedicated individuals were present throughout the two-day camp, ensuring smooth coordination and encouraging donors.
This impactful initiative stands as a shining example of how community-led efforts can bring about meaningful change and save lives.
