Father’s Day: Anushka Sharma Shares Heartfelt Letter from Daughter Vamika to Virat Kohli

Mumbai — Actress Anushka Sharma marked Father’s Day with a heartfelt tribute to the fathers in her life. On Sunday, she took to Instagram to share two touching photos.

The first image features her own father, Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, in high spirits and wearing headphones. The second shows a handmade Father’s Day card signed by her daughter, Vamika, dedicated to Anushka’s husband and Indian cricket icon, Virat Kohli.

In her caption, Anushka wrote:
“To the first man I ever loved, and the first man our daughter did… Happy Father’s Day to all the beautiful fathers everywhere.”

Anushka, who was born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, is the daughter of an army officer. Her father hails from Uttar Pradesh, while her mother, Ashima Sharma, is from Garhwal. She has often credited her upbringing in a military household for shaping her values and personality.

Earlier, the actress also expressed sorrow over the tragic stampede in Bengaluru, where 10 people lost their lives during celebrations following Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s IPL victory. Anushka reposted RCB’s official statement on Instagram, which read:
“We are deeply anguished by the unfortunate incidents that have come to light through media reports regarding public gatherings all over Bengaluru in anticipation of the team’s arrival this afternoon. The safety and well-being of everyone is of utmost importance to us.”

The IPL trophy’s arrival in Anushka’s hometown brought excitement to the streets, marking a special moment for both the actress and her husband, who has been with the RCB franchise since the league’s inception.
