Ranchi: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha on Sunday attacked the BJP over the statements of Union Home Minister Amit Shah who had visited Chaibasa with senior party leader Supriyo Bhattacharya saying that the BJP has forgotten to respect the President.
Addressing a press conference here he said that Amit Shah says that Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a tribal woman hailing from a poor family the President. JMM asks BJP whether the appointment of the President has been made on compassionate grounds.
This statement of the BJP leader is completely condemnable he said adding that how can one say that the appointment of the President is on compassionate grounds?
JMM demands the Supreme Court to take suo motu cognizance of the matter. Supriyo said the eight-year-old arrogance of Amit Shah and BJP was seen speaking in Chaibasa.
Bhattacharya said in the public meeting that BJP leader Babulal Marandi demands Amit Shah to topple the Jharkhand government.
In response, Amit Shah says that he will not topple the Janata government. Supriyo asked whether the government in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh was toppled by the people.
The BJP government could not topple in Jharkhand and it got stuck here and that is why Amit Shah is saying that the people of Jharkhand will topple the Hemant government.
