Ranchi: The National Khadi and Saras Festival which has been going on since December 28 at Morhabadi Maidan in Ranchi ended on Sunday.
At the closing ceremony, Governor Ramesh Bais said that he is happy to attend the closing ceremony of this national festival organized by the joint efforts of Jharkhand Khadi and Village Industries Board and Rural Development Department and the government.
In the National Khadi and Saras Festival a Gandhi Museum based on the life of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was built through his photographs covering every aspect of his life.
This museum shows the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi and his attachment to Khadi. Khadi-based self employment and self-reliance and economic empowerment of rural women are reflected in the festival.
