Ranchi: A conspiracy was being hatched against ED by the land scam accused lodged in Birsa Munda Central Jail, Ranchi. Regarding which the ED team had raided the jail on November 3. In this case, ED has sent summons to Birsa Munda Central Jail Jail Superintendent Hamid Akhtar, Jailer Naseem Khan and Bada Babu Danish on Monday.
ED has asked Bada Babu on 7th, Jailer on 8th and Jail Superintendent on 9th to appear at ED’s Ranchi zonal office for questioning. ED had raided Birsa Munda Central Jail on the evening of November 3. This raid was conducted on the information received by ED from surveillance in the money laundering case.
ED had received information that the government witnesses of ED who are in jail are being threatened. A conspiracy is being hatched to implicate ED officers. Efforts are being made to destroy important evidence in the money laundering case.
The jail administration is providing open help in all these works. After all this information, ED had put the jail on surveillance. During surveillance, ED got information about suspicious activities in the jail. After this, ED took permission from the court for the raid, after the permission of the court, ED officials reached the jail.
In the ED raid, evidence has been found that the CCTV footage installed in the jail is being destroyed. In this the jail administration is taking the help of its technically proficient personnel. ED has information that the jail administration is trying to ensure that the facilities being provided in the jail to Prem Prakash and other accused in the money laundering case do not become known to the ED. CCTV footage was being destroyed for this very purpose.
