Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested Govind Sao in connection with Sachin Munjal Murder Case

Ranchi: Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has arrested criminal Govind Sao of Pandey gang active in Ranchi, Ramgarh and Hazaribagh. On the basis of secret information received by SP Rishabh Kumar Jha, the ATS team has arrested Govind Sao from Odisha. Govind is originally a resident of New Colony Saudagar Mohalla, Ramgarh police station area of Ramgarh district.

Jharkhand ATS investigation has revealed that on the instructions of Pandey gang leader Vikas Tiwari, lodged in Hazaribagh jail, Govind Rai had arrested two notorious criminals involved in the murder of businessman Sachin Munjal, resident of Gurgaon, Haryana, in Ashoknagar of 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.

Jharkhand ATS and Haryana Police had received information that Govind Rai had given shelter to the criminals involved in the murder of the businessman. Frustrated with the increasing police presence, Govind Rai took both the criminals in his Scorpio car and left them from West Bengal to Balasore station in Odisha. After this, the team of Jharkhand ATS and Haryana Police arrested Govind Rai and two other criminals.

Jharkhand Police has declared a reward of Rs 25 thousand on Govind Rai. Many cases like rape, murder, theft and IS Act are registered against Govind. Govind Rai was also an accused in the murder case of Barkagaon MLA representative Bitka Bauri, which is being investigated by ATS.
