Jamshedpur: Ananya Mittal assumed charge as the 24th Deputy Commissioner of Jamshedpur on Wednesday. Ananya Mittal reached the Deputy Commissioner’s office and took charge. During this, DDC Manish Kumar and SDO Piyush Mishra welcomed him with a bouquet.
Talking to journalists after taking charge, DC Ananya Mittal said that conducting fair Lok Sabha elections is his first priority. Apart from this, the public welfare schemes of the government should be implemented properly. Their benefits reach the needy.
The Election Commission has ordered to keep former Jamshedpur DC Manjunath Bhajantri away from election work. That is why whenever elections are held, Manjunath Bhajantri is kept away from the election process.
Generally, the DC of the district is the District Election Officer. But DC Manjunath Bhajantri was not looking after the work of the Returning Officer in East Singhbhum district. In his place, DDC Manish Kumar was given the charge of District Election Officer.
For this reason, DC Manjunath Bhajantri has been removed from the post of DC of East Singhbhum. So that the new DC who comes can also look after the election work.
